Izo Tankić Judge, Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Izo Tankić was born in 1956 in Koraj. He graduated from the Sarajevo Faculty of Law and passed the bar exam in 1981. In 1982, he was appointed as a municipal public prosecutor in Tuzla, and in 1987, as a judge of the High Court, where he served for nine years. He then practiced law independently for three years, before becoming a cantonal prosecutor in Tuzla in 1999. By decision of the HJPC BiH, he was appointed as Chief Cantonal Prosecutor in Tuzla in 2003. He has participated in numerous expert groups and served as chairperson of the Committee for the Appointment of Prosecutors in the Tuzla Canton. From 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was appointed a judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 March 2005. In October 2024, the judges of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina elected Judge Izo Tankić as a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he assumed the position in February 2025.
